Dennis Johnson has served as Chief Building Inspector for the Village of Homewood, Illinois, since November 2023, bringing a municipal inspection background that spans building safety, property maintenance, housing, and code enforcement. Prior to joining Homewood, Dennis served with the Village of Oak Park, where his experience included property maintenance and housing inspection as well as building inspection responsibilities. He holds the ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector certification and has developed broad experience working with property owners, contractors, residents, and municipal staff to address code compliance and building-safety issues. Dennis is also Vice President of the South Suburban Building Officials Association.
