Dale Nicolas currently serves as Assistant Fire Marshal for the City of St. Charles, Missouri, supporting fire prevention, life safety, plan review, and code enforcement. He brings nearly two decades of experience in the building and fire code profession, with a career spanning both the private and public sectors. Dale began as a Construction Superintendent before transitioning to municipal service, where he has served as a Code Enforcement Officer, Building Inspector, Senior Inspector, Fire Code Official, Building Commissioner, and Assistant Fire Marshal. He holds numerous International Code Council certifications, including Certified Building Official (CBO) and Certified Fire Marshal (CFM). Dale is also currently Vice President of the Missouri Association of Building Officials and Inspectors and has been on the Board of Directors for seven years.
