Alan Napoli has served the City of Gladstone, Missouri, for more than 35 years and currently serves as Community Development Administrator and Building Official, overseeing building safety, code administration, development activities, and regulatory compliance. He joined the City in 1989 as a Building Inspector after beginning his career in the private architectural and construction industries, and later advanced to Building Official in 1999 and Community Development Administrator in 2015. Alan earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Missouri State University, now the University of Central Missouri, and holds International Code Council certifications as a Certified Building Official, Building Inspector, and Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner. His professional involvement has also included serving as President of both the Metro Kansas City Chapter of ICC and the Missouri Association of Code Enforcement.
